Fabulous Food – Rippon Hall – Wanaka

Thanks to Andrew and Sarah for inviting Nadine to be a “fly-on-the-wall” so-to-speak (!) in the kitchen at Rippon Hall last Saturday for the Central Otago Pinot Noir Celebration Lunch.  Andrew and his team from Relishes Cafe, in association with Rippon Vineyard & Winery, prepared and presented mouth-watering dishes matched and accompanied by selected Central Otago wines.  All with stunning views of Ruby Island, Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains… heaven!

Hors d'oeuvres preparation - Sweet garlic and goat cheese panna cotta, kalamata olive and sundried tomato tapenade crostini... mouth-watering!

First course ready to present!

First course: Shredded duck confit and baby spinach salad dressed with toasted hazelnut vinaigrette with Mt. Peel blue cheese and honeysuckle gel, balsalmic glaze and herb oil.

Part way through preparing Charcoal Gully Pinot marinated wild venison burger on thyme brioche with Burn Cottage Pinot Noir mayonnaise and black cherry relish with kumara, mushroom and garlic croquettes and pickled walnut puree.

The finished dish... replicated!
